Beautiful work Zak. Your slo-mo was poetic. Were you shooting underslung with a strap? I remember you mentioning that a while back and was curious as to how that was working.

When you have time, will you put a downloadable version on Vimeo?

One more question, you scored this right? I really enjoy your guitar work.

Cheers.

any pics of u using this strap?

Thanks for the pics, I love it man.

Just a thought though on the strap action... In addition to your great suggestion of toting from spot to spot without the repetitive up/down-up/down, I want a strap that will evenly distribute the weight across my back while I am working in an underslung handheld mode. Zak, I am thinking this strap would fit the bill. The Kata APSS- DHN (That's short for
Advanced Padded Shoulder Strap :umm: :)) . These things run around $25 to $30. Now we just need to affix a d ring system onto the top mounts. Any suggestions? What do you guy's think?

patent what? ha ha. miller tripod strap. "stay put" hair ties. yellow foam from the ground somewhere..

i hope monstercine (or someone) makes red wingnuts that dont break. or just something thats flatter and doesnt jab you in the side. i bet some people reading this must think its funny that i complain of the red camera jabbing me, because it's such a beast, but whatever, these things all add up to make a really big difference when you are shooting something really important that you can't reshoot..

sure why not, just paint it red and you'll have a bunch of people wanting in, ha!

just get that strap it looks way nicer than mine and mine fits the bill perfectly, for my needs anyways.

you dont need a D ring. im sure it would be nice, but the way i do it is i just use the clasp/latch at the end of the strap and put it around the strap itself. i think a ring would actually slide around too much. i have the actual fabric of the strap going around the rod and then the latch just goes around the strap itself...

Copy that... I was over thinking the d-ring thing. But I did just order the strap.

I always look forward to seeing your footage.

Cheers.
