Apparently they are really well built and the price is ridiculous.
If only they came in full frame :/
they could make a fortune in sales.

Yes, but FF would also jack up the price hugely! I'm happy with them being Super 35

oh damn I just saw they now cover super35 if you buy them converted from MTF in the UK.
I always thought they are only Micro 4/3.
very tasty !!!

Yup! Combining them with a Sony FS7 in 4K is very tempting.

I've tested them directly against a popular modestly priced 2X PL mounted anamorphic lenses, and the Sirui are noticeably sharper and have less chromatic aberrations. In the interest of full disclosure, I sell the Sirui lenses, and have been working with them on the anamorphic side as long or longer than all their other lens dealers. Someone big is going to make something very interesting on these lenses, and it would not surprise me if that kicks off a new small lens anamorphic craze.

very interesting, been looking for an affordable anamorphic solution for a while that wont require me having to sell organs on ebay or use shifty lens adapters.
do you have any footage available from your tests by any chance ?

the heavy streak flares in the sample look quite awful. I don't think these are usable in the real world

Vazen Vs Sirui Vs IronGlass Vs Canon, do we have a winner?

"I wanted to see which 35 mm lens is better and which one has the most interesting and beautiful image. I tested 35 mm from Canon, 37mm Ironglass Vintage lens with Anamorphic mod, 35 mm Sirui 1.33x Anamorphic and 40 mm Vazen 1.8x Anamorphic. The test came out more interesting than I thought and for me there is a clear winner but which one do you think suits best for you?

To grade this video I used my own luts: https://sellfy.com/alexandru-don"

Dominik,

It seems to be a popular lower budget alternative anamorphic lens along with the Vazen brand of anamorphic lenses.
