There is an advantage in sticking to the red chargers; they will know exactly when temperature and charge times are optimal for the bricks, and will so prolong the lifespan of your bricks .

IDX makes a great 4 batt simultaneous charger. Highly recommend.

i know idx makes a great one that most people are using...i'm just looking to see whether these cheaper options might work as well.
the PAG charger looks like it could give the best bang for the buck!

Red charger, even though sequential, will charge 2 batts in less time than any simultaneous charger on the market. Get two! :gun:

PAG chargers are great, and a very respected broadcast/film battery manufacturer in the UK. They are also intelligent with recovery modes for their own PAG brand and Sony's shutdown or deeply discharged Li-Ion/NiMH batteries. They have a discharge mode which measures the actual Ah capacity of fully charged batteries which gives a useful indication of the actual health of the batteries.

However, they have not been certified for charging Red Bricks yet as far as I know, so there is no guarantee that they will work as well as the Red charger.

PAG chargers are firmware upgradeable, so it may be worth enquiring with them if they could check/upgrade if necessary and certify Red bricks too.

Contact them on http://www.paguk.com/aboutcontact.htm

If enough people enquire (I just did), I'm sure they will do the work!
