Both programs have recently released updates so I decided to test them out.
I offloaded 15GB of R3D from a Redstation USB 3.0 to my RMBP 512GB SSD Desktop. I used MD5 checksums for both.
Silverstack took 2:53
Shot Put took 2:18
Silverstack costs $600.
Shot Put Pro cost $100
Either way, the good news that comes out of this is the significantly improved speed at which MD5 Checksums can now be completed.
