Has pricing for the RedVolt Quad Charger been announced?

My thinking is buy that plus three more RedVolt batteries to have four on charge and one in the DSMC Smart Side Handle (Stage 2 package factored in) at all times, unless you need hot swap with the (included) Pro Battery Module.

Cheers for the update. It's been a long slog but I think we might be getting to the finish line soon....

Can we expect something similar happening to the SCARLET? I'm not asking for a specific price, but I think a lot of people are curious if this will also have an impact on the SCARLET. I understand though if you can't answer my question just yet - just curious.

Or Epic-S...If half of Epic-X is what we're expecting for Epic-S, that'll bring us back to a $17.5k pricetag, same as original R1. Maybe we can at least order the S at closer to $14k by then...

Thanks for the update Jim.

So in theory, for Stage 4, providing you get the other stages out before the end of the year, and we place our order and pay before 31st Dec, we can get the lower prices...

Thanks to the entire RED team for making all this possible.

Hi Jim! Thanks so much for your update...
looks like the Epic-M still the best choose for me...

Thanks for the update. Everything is reasonable and understandable. As always, the communication is greatly appreciated! :)

Still to cheap as far as I'm concerned :)

The best camera in the world for 1/4 of the price of it's closest competitor. 1/3 the size and four times the resolution.

You guys are mad!!!!!, but awesome.

Thanks Jim for the foresight and loyalty to early adopters and setting prices for all to enjoy your vision.

Also concerned about Epic-S... Red Epic is obviously a huge deal and at that price vs it's competition (Alexa) is great bang for the buck, but Epic S was at a price range I could afford. Now if it goes up like the Epic x...

I am also very curious about the battery modules. Can anyone explain to me exactly what these modules are? Do they work with Redvolts? Are there larger Redvolts coming? Any renders or pics? Also, any estimated dates on either battery module?

Jim, thanks for the update! As always, I'm glad I'm already on board the Red train :-)

Sorry Sergio... but currently there is NO competition for EPIC, even less the Alexa, take it from some one that paid real close attention to real world test... ;)

Now if you bring in a 65mm or an IMAX 70mm camera system, then yes, we can start talking about competition, but then again, the size and cost, void that pretty obviously too, so we are back to square one,
there is NO competition for EPIC, just different choices... ;)

Tom the Pro Battery Module, was previously announced in a 4 Battery configuration, Redvolts of course, but now there is two, a two, and we should also have the XL redvolts, so many options.

Here is what was published as the Pro Battery Module.

BTW, the lights are actually Green... ;)

Any renders of the dual one? Does the dual module use Redvolts or XLs? I hope the modules are super efficient in terms of space (volume).

All I know is that this modules could not come to market fast in off, using V lock batteries i no longer an option for us, we Love the Redvolts too much,
but currently they just don't offer the best option for some situations, so having a module to Hotswap them will be great, and also we look forward to the
XL Redvolts as those situations were longer battery power is needed and less swaps made the better.

Yeah I would love to get a dual XL module asap that is super efficient in size.

EPIC-M

EPIC-M

Hi,
Great news....Awaiting my EPIC-M.....
Again I would like to ask about service centres that you plan to setup worldwide(specially Asia(India)....
Thanks

AFAIK, there is just one battery module and it will accept either four individual REDVOLT batteries or two of the XL ones (which are double the width). I don't know if this has changed, but Jarred had some renders awhile back that showed this configuration. I think the idea is longer runtime in the XL batteries and less pieces to carry around - BUT the XL batteries don't fit in the side handle, so if that is your cup of tea, you'd go with the singles. If the module indeed accepts both, obviously that's the best case scenario so you can use it for whichever flavor of REDVOLT you prefer.

Still a better price/performance than the competition.

Plus it's super nice of you to take a financial hit for things out of your control by holding back the price increases until 2012. I wouldn't have done that, and I like to think I'm a very nice guy :p

I am a little worried that my chances of affording Epic-S have gone from slim to none...
