  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

...Or the 20mm f1.8? They seem to be getting better at this stuff. Can't wait until the Optitek Nikon mount is available and I'll test one myself on our Red.

I didn't know about this lens. Most of the reviews seem to be favorable towards it. I've been looking for a wide fast lens for the Nikon F mount. Really wanted to get the 21mm Zeiss ZF but its a f~2.8. Looks like I'll be buying this guy and have Duclos do there magic on it.

the 20mm f1.8 has some not very beautiful bokeh... and a very noisey and super slow motor. I it is the noisiest lens I have ever used.

But yes.. It does get the job done... and i have shot some beautifull pictures with it.

We use the 20mm 1.8 and we like it in many situations. It is sharp, even wide open and actually I don't agree on the bokeh; it's pretty alright and I've seen far worse. Same on noise, it's perfect for shooting inside and it gives clean images if you expose properly. It does have a bit of distortion though that make it unsuitable in some situations, where there are a lot of straight lines in the shot. Many lenses do a better job on this. But considering the price and what it can give in return when shooting in low light, I think it is a great lens.
