I am curious as to how the Sigma lenses are mechanically, seems to be mixed reviews as far as this. It seems that the new ones coming out (art series) are much higher build quality and of course optically they are looking absolutely fantastic. I'm somewhat toying with the idea of trying out a sigma lens set. They seem to be quite affordable, and love what i've seen of the sharpness and controlled CA/Fringing wide open.

I'm concerned about the mechanics of these lenses though. How are the focus rings? People seem to indicate the older ones (50mm f1.4, 85mm f1.4) are quite stiff, how have you guys found them to be? I don't often use follow focuses (only if tripod mounted in a non run and gun type situation), however when I go handheld with my c100 I really prefer to hold the grip with my right hand, and just use the left hand to pull focus and balance the camera at the same time.
