Hey all,

Just wondering if this is a common issue right now with the lens or if there's a way to resolve this. Basically, it's displaying N/A for aperture control.

Hi Mike,

I’m sorry to see that you’re having trouble with your lens compatibility.

The Technical Support team at RED would like to help you resolve this issue. Please submit a Technical Support request on support.red.com and attach the log file from this camera as well as additional information about the setup of your camera system, including the specific lens mount you are using (Canon / Nikon).

We will forward the log file and additional information to our Engineers for further analysis.

Hi Mike,

I have tested 2 Raven camera and 2 sigma 18-35 f1.8 lenses with stereoscopic 3D production, there is no apture control or display issues.
you may need to check your lens.

Hi Mike

Are you trying to control aperture via the red touch screen or via another controler that taps into the red controls?

M

Hey all,

Thanks for the replies. Having issues trying to control via touch screen. Iris just comes out as N/A. Crazy thing is I'm having issues with this lens, a Canon 35 1.4 and the 135mm F2 as well. All of them have the Iris greyed out and show N/A.

Tried rediscovering hardware which I read on here somewhere and nada.

Try reinitialize lens (raven page 95).
Also be sure to do not twist the lens too much into the mount or the contact won't line up and the lens won't communicate.
Be sure contacts aren't dirt on both lens and the mount.
Check that pins on the lens mount aren't bent or stuck inside.
