  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Sigma 24-105/4 confirmed. What do you think for run and gun.

Took me longer than intended but finally went to the store to test this sigma on my Scarlet.

Sadly, to anyone wondering, the image stabilization (OS) doesn't work.

It's a pity, compared to the canon model, it feels like a much superior product, no visible chromatic aberration for example.

But to be fair, don't get your hopes up with the "Art" brand slapped on this one either, really doesn't have that wow factor the 18-35mm had visually.

No problem Samir.

I have the Sigma 18-35mm, such a versatile lens, I used to rent the Canon 24mm F1.4 and 35mm F1.4 primes but after owning the Sigma 18-35 I don't really feel the need to, heck to me the image coming out of the Sigma, a zoom lens, is superior to the before mentioned Canon lenses, which are primes and half more expensive. Also didn't really feel like the 2/3 of a stop loss was significant.

Really worth getting, unless you wish for Image stabilization on it, in that case check out the canon models and hopefully the new Tamron 15-30. They're much slower though, honestly I never really felt like I need IS on these focal lenghts and I shoot a lot handheld.

To each his own ;)
