  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Sigma 20 1.4, 35 1.4, 50 1.4 ART with Epic Dragon 6K

Hey Peter, how would you say the 18-35 holds up against the wide primes? CA, Sharpness, etc.

The most amazing thing about the 18-35 is its sharpens wide open. I have no idea how they pulled this one off - on a wide zoom!!! It not only holds up well against the primes - it gives them run for their money. The only downside is the S35 (APS-C) sensor coverage - where the primes are full-frame. But that is not an issue for our Ravens or the Helium S35 8K...

Today I'll be shooting something with my Dragon and this 3 set to see how it stacks up in a challenging environment. Will try to share impressions as soon as possible.

had a chance to test the 35mm 1.4 II from Canon and sharpness wise felt on par to the Sigma. The difference should be on the coating and color rendition. Have to say I still like the Canon look more, specially for filming humans, but its a personal preference thing. Not forking out the $ for the Canon.

The only Canon lens I'm lusting out and sincerely left me speechless in performance is the 11-24 Zoom. That lens stands on its own category right now. Simply stunning.
