I recently purchased a Helium and when I connected the side handle it said "Unsupported Module" Please disconnect the unsupported module.
I installed another side handle and it worked perfectly. Then I took the side handle that prompted the problem and installed it in Monstro 8K and said the same thing.

The Helium has the 7.4.1 Firmware. I rolled back to 7.0.2 but still the problem persisted.

I think maybe it can be that the module wasn't installed when the previous owner did an update from 6xx Firmware.

Has anyone experienced this?

Thanks!

You might need to update the sidehandle. If you update the firmware on your camera with the side handle connected, it should also update the module.

Thanks Will, I updated the camera and rolled back with the side handle connected and still prompts the problem.

Any other suggestion?

Occasionally, oxidized, dirty or worn out contacts on removable peripherals might cause errors like these. If you are comfortable in cleaning contacts on the back of your side handle, give that a shot first.

If the unit fails after cleaning, the problem might be more serious. Since the same issue persisted with two different camera brains, you may want to send it to RED to see whether something else is wrong withe side handle.
