  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Hello I’m new to the site and have minimal knowledge, I’m looking for help :) . I recently bought a Dragon x 6k package with firmware version 7.3.0 additional I also bought off a separate seller a side handle with focus wheel and extra buttons. I attached it and my camera said it was incompatible. I’ve come to understand that updating my firmware my not be a fix as the handle itself may have backdated firmware. Any ideas how I can make this work.

I think you need to find someone with an older body to update.
I hope I am wrong.
I ran into this issue and got lucky by updating the body firmware first then the SH.

Thankyou Eric for your response. The Red gods have bestowed on me a working handle finally. I read somewhere that attaching it and reattaching it can sometimes jumpstart the system, it worked and was all very exciting! especially that had not bought a lemon :)
