Side handle power issues

Last week I was using the Scarlet X with Anton Bauer batteries. I did not use the red volts in the side handle. When powering up, there was a severe lag for the side handle. I had power on the monitor and could navigate the menus that way, but it took a few minutes for the side handle to power up. I prefer to use the side handle to navigate the menus. Is there a way to tell the camera to power up everything simultaneously?

To my knowledge, that shouldn't happen. Perhaps a few seconds lag but nothing more.

Is the Side Handle seated securely and locked in well?

Yes. I specifically checked that connection as soon as I noticed the problem. I always got power to the side handle, but it was never immediate.

If possible, try the SH on a different camera and try a different SH on your camera. Normal procedures to isolate the problem; you know the drill.
