  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Side handle can now be ordered

So if you want to save some money on the side handle, redmote and 5" lcd, then I believe you should get those parts now :)

(unless you believe that Scarlet-F will be released before the new year. And who knows, maybe there'll be a special offer if you get a package with some different stuff?!) ;D

Yeah this is the tough part. This is where I think I really want to know what the package will be. I don't think they'll be body only, I'd rather get a package anyways then use the spare change on cards/batteries and not have to worry about the other stuff. At the same time though no one wants to be left in the dirt. I can afford all the spare parts right now so I'm tempted, but its still one of those things where until it's announced...they could totally scrap it and start from scratch. Your looking at a Scarlet to right Nuka? What are you planning on doing if we are nearing years end and no Scarlet yet in shipping/ordering site but we know the prices will go up?
 
What is the deal on the side handle..???..do most people plan it to shoot still photos...
Or does it make it easier to get better grip on the camera in any use.. while at same time making it look even cooler.

For me it would provide a smaller package for shooting. Since you can use a RedVolt in the handle. It has a Rocker for electronic zoom I believe... (Scarlet Fixed) I could be wrong on that, don't hold me too it. It also has touch focus. It's another way to control the camera as well. Maybe it will interact with the Canon mount and other future and current electronic lenses?

I just ordered my first one. I wonder how long it will take. I know some Epic M owners that have been waiting quite a while for theirs.

If I had the funds right now, I'd get the 5" lcd, Redmote, Side handle and never look back. :) I truly believe that a body-only(+ SSD side module) option will be available...

Interesting...I may consider it, as that is what i'd order as well. I just want to hear some news on it before I make the buy.

No rush..prices won't go up till next year. Doesn't sound like there will be any big price difference in ordering individually or in a camera package. The package sounds like it is more out of convenience for ordering/shipping issues and such...although this quote is in specific reference to the Epic stages program.

There will not be a significant discount on those pre-packages ( just like the M does not have a package discount ) as the current stage pricing we are offering you guys is pretty, how do I put it... insane.
