I just watched Side Effects. I know Mr. Soderbergh used the epic on this film as he does with most of his films as of recent, but what I was wondering was what kind of diffusion he used on this film. There's a clear glow around all light sources in the film... it seems like a Pro Mist black filter or something else perhaps?

Tiffen Glimmerglass can do that as well, and I think it's more subtle in the highlights. All very subjective.

And Soderbergh is also an expert at post and has been known to do lots of intricate tweaking in the color correction room. John Daro at Fotokem did a lot of the work on that, I assume on Quantel Pablo.
