Shutter Settings

Hey Guys,
Next week I'm oping a small shoot on the Red (currently build 30.) The DP has in mind for one shot to slow the shutter down to 1/12 to get some extreme motion blur. However, I when I set the shutter speed down to 1/12th the screen reads 1/24th in red, which I got from the manual as meaning that's the lowest supported with my current settings... My question for you all is would you happen to know the settings that support shooting at a 1/12th shutter??? Thanks a lot guys.

On a quick side note if I wanted to replicate the look of public enemies and Miami vice would I set the shutter settings to "1"? Thanks all,

When you shoot at 24fps, the maximum exposure time is 1/24th of a second.

If you want to get 1/12th second, you have to slow down to shooting 12 fps.

Chris Doyle made some shots with 8 or even 6 fps.
