Hey everyone,
Here's the first peek into the Star Wars Pilot I have been shooting in Denmark last fall. We shot a scene on a soundstage that involved a ton of stunts inside a nicely built set.
The short scene on this teaser is on the lead up for all that will happen. It features Shahbaz Sarwar, the creator of this concept, and Lars mikkelsen, that you might know as "President Petrov" from House Of Cards, and also the brother of Mads Mikkelsen, that played Gailen Orso on Rogue One, and a bunch of other stuff.
I shot this with mainly 2 Heliums and angenieux Optimo Style lenses. I had a 3rd DSMC1 Epic that I used for additional stuff.
The grade on this piece is a tad heavy handed for my taste, but this is a good venue for a little testing before the release summer/fall 2019.
Before anyone asks, no, this wasn't commissioned by Disney. We hope to entice them with this pilot. We do have a few channels in there to get them to see it. And this is made under the guidelines of fan films, so this is all ok to shoot and release. All 200+ people of the team are doing this in a voluntary capacity.
Some DP's are lucky to be in the right place at the right time and know the right people to get to shoot their dream films. Others have to throw caution to the wind and just do it. You never get there if you don't try, and try your hardest...
I hope you guys enjoy this short teaser:
