Shoulder dovetail does not move

I have a problem regarding the bottom plate and the shoulder dovetail: i am not able to move the lock on the shoulder dovetail to the side anymore and seperate / slide the two parts. i already removed the bottom plate from the camera body, but it doesn't help. anybody with a similar experience?

I have the same problem - just got around to trying the dovetail and it is locked in place to the bottom plate. Would love to know what to do.

I have the same thing - a good hard knock does the trick...

I had the problem too. A couple flicks of the lever back and forth and a little jiggle freed it.

I have to admit, that i was a bit sceptic about praising element technica the way finner was, but after destroying the red shoulder dovetail i ordered the ET / ARRI 19mm BASE and i love it!
