  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Should back plate be on if not using Redmote?

I've got a newbie question here... I'm using my newish Scarlet in my home studio and am selling the Redmote I purchased for it as I currently don't have a need for it. Because I'm not using it, I was wondering if its recommended to screw on the back metal plate which covers the area where the redmote connects. I'm leaning towards doing so to keep it clean and perhaps minimize the wireless signal from passing through me when standing inches away... But interested to learn other's thoughts/recommendations in case I'm overlooking something. Thanks in advance!

Cool, I'll check it out. Thanks!

I have a Quickplate for Bricks, but when that isn't on there I use the plastic cap that RED sells. Feels a lot safer to keep those connectors covered.

+1 on the plastic cap, it pops on/off. The screw on ones look nice, but as a personal preference I usually pack away my kit each time I shoot, even if it's in studio, so it would get annoying for me to screw on/off the plate each time.
