Is there any way to program hot button to quickly switch formats for shooting lower resolution at higher frame rates?

I'm always wanting to jump between shooting 8K/24p and 4k/120, but the process is a little long especially when shooting pro res because you have to switch codecs too.

Anyone know if there's a way to make some preset project settings that are quickly accessible?

Set the camera settings you're looking to shoot with then go into presets menu and create the preset and name it: (example name 4k 120) then go into the keys menu and press the button you want to map it to and select "apply preset 4k 120" to that button.

I use soft keys on the touch screen for this.

Set your framerate, resolution, and codec to one of the formats you want.

Menu > Presets and Create a preset, put in REDCODE, Record Format, Recording Options, and Sensor Frame Rate (these are all found under the PROJECT tab), as well as any other setting you think you'd change back and forth on a routine basis. Do this for each format you want. You can clone the preset each time and update it with new settings to save some time here.

Then go to Menu > Setup > Keys > Soft Keys and choose "Apply Preset: [Preset name here]" for each key.

Then you should be able to tap the screen near the edge and pick any of your preset shooting formats.

Of course, if you want them on the physical buttons, you can do that, too. That'd be Menu > Setup > Keys > Key Mapping instead.

Thanks you guys, this is super helpful

Forgot to mention, if you only have two main settings you wanna switch back and forth between, instead of occupying two buttons, e.g., button 1 for 8K 24p and button 2 for 6K 60p, you can set it up so that 1 button will toggle back and forth between the two.

To do this, when you're set to your "A" shooting mode, set the custom key to Apply Preset: B. Then update your preset for A by adding the key settings to it and save it. Now switch to your "B" shooting mode and change the custom key to Apply Preset: A, and then update your preset for B.

Now when you switch between the two, it also remaps the key to the other preset. So this turns the key into a toggle on a single button, freeing up another button for other settings.

Would be your current black shading also stored in the presets, and you can toggle those when you change formats?

Maybe I missed it, but I'm not seeing the ability to add black shade calibration to a preset.

Very clever!

If you 'AUTO' calibrate the sensor instead of 'MANUAL' you should be covered with this single black shade. The reason this 'AUTO' takes 55 minutes is it covers all speeds & shutter angles.

A side note, all the tests I've done with AUTO vs MANUAL shading, AUTO does have the edge with cleaner blacks at higher ISO's / underexposure too.
