  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Short Film shot on SCARLET - HD Trailer

Looks awesome Evan! Besides the good technical points, excellent job casting - that's half the battle!
Side question - How smooth was the process obtaining the rights to that track by The Lumineers?
 
I am desperately want to see the movie - so I guess that means the trailer did its job! :001_tongue:

Very nice. Looks like a feature. Did you shoot out here in LA? Also, I would love to discuss how you shot all the car scenes. What equipment did you use etc...
 
Hey guys, thanks so much for the kind words. I'm just now getting caught up on some of these new comments.

In terms of equipment used for the car setups, we had a vacuum cup mounted system mounted directly to the hood of the car. If I had to do it again, I would have definitely used something more heavy duty. Even with a pretty stripped down version of the Scarlet, we got a lot of unwanted shake. But hey, you gotta pick and choose your battles when working with a tight budget.

I've attached a picture of the setup... pretty basic.

Will definitely let everyone know as soon as the film is available. Thanks again... I'm very proud of it.

Wow fanastic. My first feeling wast "hmm, should I watch another short movie" but i quickly realized that this was going to be very good. Great job!
