Hi all,
I'm looking for very simple and short Anton Bauer Gold mount for the back of a Red Epic. I've been looking everywhere for days. When you look at options from Wooden Camera or Cinema Oxide, etc. the back extends up past the top of the brain. It seems almost all mounting solutions are flexible between V-mount or Gold mount, and V mounts are usually taller so it wastes some space for Gold mount. The best mounting solution looks like the short one Red makes themselves, but I want one just like that for Anton Bauer. The 3rd picture from View Factor (Brook Willard) in this link is essentially what I want: http://www.reduser.net/forum/showthread.php?73950-VF-Brook-s-APU-Update -- but it seems like the product has changed since then and the picture looks like just a mock-up. Can anyone suggest the most streamlined Anton Bauer Gold mount option for a Red Epic?
Thanks!

The PowerSlice from Solid Camera is pretty nice. I have an early prototype but its being redesigned to not have the slight bump out where the power plug is. The early design was only for the Dionic batteries which is pretty compact battery. But most third party AB batteries sit a bit lower and are slightly taller, so the new design will be completely flat.

Thanks Bob! This actually look amazing. My only worry is that it looks difficult to switch power sources (like to wall or off a Ronin battery, etc); it looks pretty fixed. But I do love how solid it looks and how it conceals and protects the connection. I guess it's just pros and cons. I'm looking into the PAGlink batteries which are extra short and compact.

If using 3rd party, be careful the mounting screws don't sink too deep in epic back plate as they can easily pierce the brain and damage internal electronics.

Also look at action products proteus

I have the Viewfactor version and its great. Knock on wood, I have never had a single issue with it. It looks just like the one that you see in the link above. I recommend it.

I should be getting my upgraded Dragon back today, so once I do I will put it on and take some pics for you.
