I'm currently in Yokohama, will be for a couple of months. Looking to build a homemade slider as a hobby project but wondering where I could source that kind of hardware. Is there a National chain of supplies and rails such as Igus or something similar to ServerCity? Also if anyone is interested in seeing what I'm up to with this would be cool to hook up.

Cheers,
Mark

No worries, have sourced what is needed. Having perfected the art of talking to brick walls I'd like to wish said brick wall all the best for 2015.

No worries, thanks for the heads up.

Yeh, what vincent said. They have branches everywhere. Priecey, but well stocked...

I was shooting a shortfilm last summer in Tokyo-Saitama.
I found a lot of stuff on Toky Hands, best the one of Shibuya or Shinjuku.
Also is good to check online shops like rakuten or amazon.co.jp

Also i know some companies of renting if you need.
