Shooting with 7 Red One in Chennai for Music Concert

[gbalaji]

We have taken multiple backups of the concert footage (7 Red One) on Avid Media Raid 16TB and in the process of backing up to LTO-4 Tapes.

Will post updates as it happens.

[gbalaji]

Atlast after very long time we are about to finish 2.5TB of 7 Red Camera footage's transferred to Avid MC 3.0 from Medium QT Proxy file. It took us almost 8 days in MacPro Quad Core 2.8GHz system with Avid Media Raid 16TB.

Starting edit in coming days.

[jimhare]

Wow. So will you conform the final edit using the original R3Ds? What process do you intend to use?

Cheers,

Jim

We are starting with a 5 minute promo tomorrow and probably using Monkey Extract / Crimson and hand over 4k DPX / Tiff to Digital Vision for Color Timing.. For entire film we are going to grade 4k with Film Master Digital Vision ( They are coming out with direct R3D support) and if the beta is not out until our final edit, we would probably go with same route of ME / crimson.

[jimhare]

Very impressive! Can't wait to hear how you go.

H Sridhar!

H Sridhar!

Yesterday morning our renowned Sound Designer H.Sridhar (4 time nation award winner) died in Heart Attack. He was working on "Margazhi Raagam" and completed 50% of the work. Day before yesterday, I was working with him in Mixing Studio and seen him very closely.

Thanks sir for all your inputs. We missed one of our legends in India.
