nice! that moonrise is absolutely beautful - great timing :)

i've been gettin some too... keep an eye open

looks like haze? aperture is closed down by the look of those 'stars' (i.e. deep enough for just about everything to be in the range of 'focused')

Thats amazing. Just curious if this was graded or not. Breathtaking images.

I did a little tweaking in RCX to crush the blacks and desaturate a little.

Alway having a look around during the full moon period, I'm still waiting for that type of event (plane or big bird).

Some shots from last summer in Tuscany with the 100/300 Contax AE.
FB double compression is a bit of an artifacts and over sharpening nightmare thought.

Nice Shots Brice.

Here's my shot on October 18th with a 500mm Takumar lens and a doubler, so effectively 1000mm. Shot at 5k HD.

Second picture is the same image at a 1:1 crop.

shot these time-lapsed on my scarlet over the past couple weeks while filming for my short, but these didn't make it into the cut, so check em out!
i think i got all the lenses correctly identified...

i'm most interested in the light (and shadows) and color qualities of the reflected moonlight, plus i don't have a super-long lens to get in real close. i really like to see how moonlight affects clouds and objects. would really love to get a dragon soon so i can peer into the shadows a bit more in real-time... (:

and here's a conceptual camera-move i grabbed in the moment and threw together for demonstration purposes.
would love to set this up properly someday. basically it would be timelapsed throughout on a nice, smooth, programmed pan/tilt head.
logistically complicated to plan this out and get it right. if anybody has the opportunity to do it before me... do it! of course, i would want to get the actual sunrise in as well (:

i just think it's really cool because i'm not sure a lot of people (as silly as it sounds) understand how the moon 'works' with the sunlight hitting it, and this situation just really gave me an awesome perception of space and time, so i wanted to share it. this really doesn't do the experience justice (which is why i wanna do get it for real) but... "better than what you had" ;)

compression really sucks for stuff like this, so make sure you watch it at full HD, and even then i'm sorry youtube sucks.
and by sucks i mean it's awesome that we can even share anything at all. and for free... hehe
