Shooting some skateboarding tomorrow - wondering if anyone can chime in as to their favorite frame rate and shutter speed to shoot at in order to have smooth footage but without too much motion blur for sports. It will be outside - so light is not an issue. There will be some shoulder mount, tripod panning, and slider shots. I recently shot some Motocross @ 2K 60fps 1/120 - which looks pretty good, but I find 2k to be underwhelming next to 4k footage...
Most of the project will be shot in 4k, (possibly some 3k 48fps) so I guess my main question is shutter speed, and frame rate - 24, or 30, and optimal shutter speed for fast action with camera movement... Just curious if anyone has some first hand insight to point me in the right direction.
Thanks! Don't exactly have time to test...
