Shooting Red on a Cliff Face

Hello Red Users,

I am an Avid Red Epic User, and am looking to Produce a Rock Climbing Short film this coming spring. I am curious if anyone has had any experience on shooting on cranes, or on ropes, or if there were certain equipment that you would recommend. We are in the planning stages right now, so any guidance or assistance would be appreciated.

Octocopter would be a great platform, we have some climbing footage somewhere ill post it if I find it

You could use a Potra Ledge to shoot from. A porta ledge is basically a hanging platform that climbers sleep on when they are doing multiple day vertical climbs. Have some good rock climbers help and get good insurance;-)
