just wondering how anyone is dealing with contrast on sunny snow days i get watching exposure+matte box with flags but it seams with nds and shooting at higher shutter speeds(for action) i then get grain. i shoot the epic alot in the snow and dont seem to have the same issues overcast looks amazing but the second the temp goes up and the sun comes out my shots start to look like shit or a just a serious pain to grade. any ideas?

I wonder if an ND1.8 plus a polariser might help. Please do not pay heed to my comments. Beaches of bright white titanium sand are a different kettle of fish to snow. The nearest I have been to snow is chipping out the freezer.

The Red One MX doesn't have the same dynamic range or bit depth of the Epic, if you're shooting Snow then be more vigilant about protecting your highlights.

The Red One MX have the same dynamic range of the Epic (exept when the EPIC is used with HDR mode), dynamic range depends of the sensors. RED ONE MX just have not the same bit depth.
