I have a night shoot coming up and have been told that the location get's very foggy. Anyone have any advise on shooting in thick fog? Is protection for the camera or glass necessary, etc?

Thanks!

Are you worried about the camera, condensation, or the shot, being able to shoot clearly through fog. For condensation, use a plastic sheet, rain cover. I believe you can find a clear poncho someone in SF. Tape it down, your good.

I wouldn't worry about it too much though, as said above, if the camera is on, it should be warm enough to handle condensation. The lens will probably be effected first. So you'll know the level on moisture you are dealing with on the lens before any buildup on the body.

I would cover the camera and lenses the same as working in the rain. Keep some paper towels handy to dry off when it sits for a while and gets wet. Maybe have a hair dryer on hand.. Or run the camera and use the warm air from the camera to warm up anything you need.. hot chocolate, smoors, warm drinks..
Get the kick butt back lit shots..
