Hi!

I am asking for a good advise to shoot fireworks.

I will use Red One M. Not MX.
Red Pro Zoom 17-50. No other lens available.

It will be really a spectacular fireworks.
They shoot in the high Mountains above Innsbruck.
Tonight is a clear night. One time in 5 Years

thanks
Norbert

My advice:

Consider trying a slower shutter speed to minimize the CMOS artifacts that go with flashing fireworks. 1/24th of a second maybe.

Do a black shading calibration at the shutter speed you are going to capture at withthe camera at operating temperature.

consider capturing some of teh images at 3K 48 frames per second as well.

Make sure not to blow out any highlights. Apply s curve in post.

Fireworks are never as beautiful on screen as they are in real life.

I'd shoot wide shots at 30 fps and closer shots at 60.

Usually I'd advise on tests but this might be a bit too late.

Hi!

I am asking for a good advise to shoot fireworks.

I will use Red One M.

1. Insert bottle rocket in CF slot
2. light fuse
3. stand back and enjoy
4. buy new SSD module to replace burnt CF module.

Thanks for your feedback.

It did work. But next time it will with your help even better work...
