Hey just was wondering if anyone had any luck or have heard of anyone shooting with anamorphic lenses on the Red?

If so, do you have any screengrabs? Is there any image loss? Adapters needed?

Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks!

Lots of people... Soderbergh shot CHE/Argentine with Anamorphics.

no adapters needed unless you use Panavision Glass then you need a PV mount.

would you shoot 16:9 with the anamorphics and fix the squeeze at the end? or 2:1??

The RED has a 4K Ana mode as a recording resolution selection. If you use 2:1 you will not be able to view a desqueezed view of your image in your monitors. 4k Ana mode records 2816x2304 essentially the center portion of the 4k 16:9 sensor. Shooting in this mode allows you to see your image in a 2.40:1 aspect ratio properly desqueezed. I have some anamorphic sample frames I can send you. Send me a pm with your email.

excuse me, I was confusing "2:1" with "2x". yes, the ana mode is different than the 2:1 mode. My bad :)
