I am sure this has been beat to death, but the frustration is still present. We order a Raven in November, then switch to Scarlet-W when it is announced. So we have a November timestamp. It is now June and we still don't have a camera. 7 months wait (is this really 2009?)
I understand the unpredictable nature of manufacturing such a complex computer. Lightning in a bottle is no easy task. I am also a big believer that if you rush a miracle you get rotten miracles.
However, this is now a very expensive camera as we have had to rent cameras for jobs that we were not planning on renting, because we thought we would have a camera in house by now.
Red has provided only soft, squishy, vague, contradicting and unreliable information on when we may actually get the camera. Manufacturing is hard, so I understand why they say this.
Is it possible to hear this from Red? "Your place in line is ### from where we are shipping. But we have to warn you that manufacturing throws us curve balls and that doesn't mean It will ship tomorrow."
Knowing that our order is number 400 (or whatever) from where they are currently shipping would be a big help in planning. It could ship next week or next month, sure, but it's way better than "soon." Even if we would be number 7 from where they are currently shipping and they pause the line to make Ravens that would still be OK. But please give more information than "soon."
