Maybe the forum can help me here. I went to Fedex today to ship back my RED ONE for stage 3 trade in and was told that I need extra info that was not on the shipping invoice that RED provides.

1. Red One FCC ID # (it's not on the Camera)
2. Name and address of the company that Manufactured my RED One camera in Singapore

I contacted RED but since it's a Sat they are closed, so maybe others that have shipped their camera back have this info?

Thanks

+1

I called FedEx on Friday and was told all I needed was the invoice RED provides with the RMA - went though all the things on the invoice, all the info was there. Shipping ours back on Monday, would be good to know any other Canadians that have successfully returned their camera. Is additional paperwork needed? FedEx told me no, seems it may not be so simple?

Thanks,
Shaun.

fed ex here said you need to open account with us first.. and of course fcc... bla bla bla.. I was like.. aah to heck with that.

Just another note... FedEx insurance is over $700, add the $225 in our case, for shipping, and it's almost $1000. A return trip to LA is $500... where is the sense in this?

I heard back from RED and they will provide Fedex with the FCC740 form info when needed. So I went back to Fedex and told them, they agreed to ship it but it took some insisting on my part. They said that not having that info will cause delays at customs since they will hold the PKG and contact RED and wait until they send the form.

Anyways it's gone. Hope this info helps other.

Thanks Vincent. I had exactly the same problem and had to adopt your solution. You dont know you need this stuff until Fed Ex arrives at your door to pick the goods up. I tried without success to find the FFC ID as well.
