He hasn't revealed his findings yet, but did mention this:

Other than Act of Valour, not much of his theatrical stuff has been shot on anything other than film. Need for Speed was Alexa (with c500 for night exteriors, and GoPro for crash cam). Hell, even Act of Valour was film, f900, and 5Ds.... And in it they shot on an actual submarine and had tons of body/gun mounted shots that couldn't realistically have been done with bigger/less sensitive cameras (actually, they often shot with 4-8 cameras at once because they only had the Seals for a certain amount of days/hours and had to get entire scenes in so few takes, necessitating single op, lightweight cameras like DSLRs).

He shot his last movie (Fathers and Daughters) on C500 and Epic because it was shot entirely on MoVi and weight was a huge issue (c500 is like half the weight of an equally rigged out Epic).... If anything I'd say he's a pretty big proponent of horses for courses, and merely focuses on Canon's consumer products for his blog because of their accessibility to his audience/readers... I'm interested to see where he takes Dragon (presuming he uses it for an upcoming project).
