Hello
I'll be renting an epic for a couple days and will have limited time to test the camera so I was wondering if you guys could give me some pointers with the settings, like ISO, etc. I will be filming pyrotechnics in pitch black background, so only the sparks and flames will show up. My plans are to shoot 5k 30fps and 120fps.

thanks
Jason

Make sure you blackshade the camera (camera lens cap on while you do this process) which is under the settings, calibration menu. Try and keep it to ISO 800 as that's the native sensor ISO. I would shoot 24fps, or at least have that as your project base if you can...will give you extra light to work with.

All of the above, definitely stick to ISO 800, but DO NOT starve the sensor for light. ETTR using your histogram and stop lights. This takes a little bit of getting used to, but is extremely rewarding in the end.

Save the different fps black shade calibrations to an SSD so they can be applied quickly when switching between different frame rates while shooting.
