Since you can set the timecode manually, why not have the red control app allow you to set the time to whatever your phone is set to. Great and easy way to match single or multiple cameras on the fly.

Hey Marcin,

I’m pretty sure that’s exactly how the RED Control app behaves
when you tap the “OS Time” function.

I do notice that there can be a slight difference in the clock
if you perform the function with RED Control running separately
on 2 different mobile devices.

Perhaps it could be synchronized more accurately if multiple cameras were running RED Control on the same device and you select one camera, sync to OS Time then
switch to the next camera and select OS Time on it etc.

On the more advanced RED Control Pro app there is a function
to set timecode with the OS Time function on multiple DSMC 3 cameras at the same time which will do exactly what you seem to be inquiring.

For multiple DSMC 3 cameras RED Control Pro is a must have.

At 8:30 in the above video Carlos Quintero gives a demo of how to sync RED cameras via RED Control Pro and OS Time.
