After setting the clock, how long should the display show "Initializing"?

The camera appears to hang on the initializing screen. I tried it twice, once with EVF plugged in and other time with it unplugged. Lens cap is on and no media in CF drive.

This is with release build 16.

This has nothing to do with the clock - it is the dredged start-up freeze. I got the same problem. Restarted the camera manually with the power button and time was on the new setting...

I have hit the start-up freeze before and found a 100% work around.

1. unplug EVF (and/or LCD)
2. Lens cap on
3. No media
4. Stand on left foot.

That always works for normal boot. If I have the EVF plugged in, then I have a 50/50 chance of hanging at "booting". Steps 2 and 3 may not be necessary. Now step 4...

Nothing seems to work after setting the clock other than to manually power off. Time was correct after the manual power cycle.

I think we have found and nailed that bug (in Build 17) Its intermittent, so you might not observe this anyway.

Where is set clock? I've looked for this before and never found it.

Under SETUP > SET CLOCK - page 56 RED User Manual. Until B17, the Camera is reported to hang after setting - just power down. Lim

Clock not setting using build 17

so i'm using build 17 and when i go to save the clock settings, camera won't power down. I mannually power down, but clock settings still not saved.
