Forgive me if this is old enthusiam. I tend to run 5 years behind the times. That said, the series 'Taboo' is currently on Netflx - at least new to my area of the world.

I gotta say, these folks (creators, production, everyone) did everything right. Great story, top-notch performances - and OMG the location scouts just freakin' nailed it! I've not seen this level of location / set design in forever. You can just smell the slop and muck in the streets. Top-notch camera work, lighting, and of course editing.
They even managed to tick most if not all of the boxes for identity junkies, and did it with seamless authenticity and elevation. No after-thoughts here. Every single character belongs in this story.
This is just some seriously beautiful darkness - if that makes sense.
