Sensor upgrade Zeros Brain Hours?

Technical question:

After a sensor upgrade, are the hours on the brain zeroed out?

Is it possible the brain has hours from quality control at RED HQ?

It's zeroed, but then QC hours are added (which I've seen as low as 4).

My Epic to Epic Dragon upgrade came with 4 hours after it's upgrade.
