My scarlet body recently went out on a octocopter job in the desert where the rig continually landed without the use of a proper landing pad. The body came back very dusty however after a quick brush off and a bit compressed air the exterior of the body including all video and power points were completely clean. My question is regarding the air intake on the front and open portion on top of the body. How much do I need to be concerned about those open points being exposed to those elements?

Thanks

You do not need to worry about the plenum and heat sinks.
It is weather sealed from the electronics, so blowing it out with compressed air should be sufficient.

It's worth blasting compressed air through to clear dust and debris every now and again for maintenance anyway.

I usually take out the fans completely, or hold the fan(s) blades stationary while doing so, to avoid any possible damage from spinning at massive velocity.
