  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

"Send to REDCINE-X" new Clipfinder 2.5 beta 1

I was having trouble with this yesterday. The clips would come into RCX, but would have all the wrong timing info. Do I need to dedicate to either EC or TOD or does it figure it out?

Do the sub-clips come into Clipfinder correctly?

Correct me if I'm wrong Hans, but Clipfinder is effectively "timecode blind" when doing this, as FCP XML and REDcineX use frame counts not timecodes to set in/out points, so EC/TOD is irrelevant.

Do the clips you are using for editorial and to generate the XML have an exact one to one relationship with the original R3D clips in terms of start point and duration?

Hi Nick,

The sub-clips come in correctly as MOV, but when I relink to R3Ds the timecode loses the plot. Wondering if it's an edgecode issue.

Oh i get it. You get us hooked with a little taste.... "First one's free" hey....

Just kidding. Congrats on what I'm sure is hours of coding! Thank you! I could not see myself working without your software this past year. It has made me money and I have no problem giving you 100.00 for this new version. I think your bank account is about to GROW!

Thanks Hans!

It's a truly incredible app since its begining.

It has become the center of my entire workflow.

Thanks so much Hans for your great help !

Hmm... If you have MOVs with Edge Code I think I see how there might be problems. Can you mail me the Clipfinder document in the state before you "replace MOV with R3D" and in the state afterwards ?

Cheers,
Hans

redcolor redgamma rendering

redcolor redgamma rendering

Hans,

Thanks for all the support thus far. I was wondering if ProRes redcolor & redgamma rendering is supported in 2.5? We are currently using 2.2 and have loved it, but we are really looking to render out our next set of offlines into this new color space, as we might take it to final color on a student project.

Thanks
