  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Selling great set of Canon K-35 lenses

K-35 Mk.II?

K-35 Mk.II?

Those K-35's look different than the ones I'm familiar with. The ones I've seen before have aluminum BNCR mounts (except for the 24mm) and the have small numbers on the focus scale, the same numbers as on the Canon FD 35mm stills lenses.

I notice that the serial numbers on these lenses start with 82xxx, and other K-35's I've seen start with 76xxx or 77xxx. I'm assuming that the first two digits are the year of manufacture.

That would mean that these lenses are quite limited production, since it's very common to see single digits after the "year code".

I'm a big fan of Zeiss, and I work on them for a living, but the iris on these Canon K-35 is better than anything Zeiss offered up until the Master Primes.

Converting these lenses to PL requires custom made parts. There is no off-the-shelf PL mount that will work. The only lens that I have converted, and 85mm required a *lot* of work.

I used a stock Zeiss PL mount. Today I would make a custom PL mount instead. But the fixed rear element and brass guides still have to go into the back of the PL mount (the "cone") for the conversion to work.

That is very tricky... but possible.

Cannon lenses-- still available?

Cannon lenses-- still available?

Are they not duel mounted?

Would you be interested in keeping them at a rental house and doing a split rental

If they are BNCR--then we would upgrade them to PL

let me know

thanks
