  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Select export of DPX files from REDAlert

Wondering if there are any future thoughts to include an importing edl / xml feature into REDAlert so you can export select DPX files of your cut for finishing. I don't need all 6 hours of the footage exported just certain takes. I know the work around is Crimson and Red Cine but seems cumbersome seeing as I won't be doing the colour correction or onlining of the spot.

Maybe there is another way using proxies in FCP that I am unaware of. I want to keep the original Metadata and have the ability to go back to 4k for FX if needed.
 
Haven't tested it yet, but put your files into Redrushes and export them to DPX. Before you can do onelight with Redalert, because it should read the RSX file.....
