Has anyone shot an exposure profile for RED? I was thinking of getting a chart but $100 seems a lot for a piece of cardboard.

I have the cart and meter, just missing the camera.

I am not clear which lights should be used. At this point I am considering a pair of daylight balanced Kino's on each side of the card.

I am also wondering how we should export the captured frames. Which settings should we use?

i use the same meter... would be great to see what you guys come up with.

Am I missing something Jarred? There's no mention of which Sekonic is being used.

That's what I use also. Would love to see what others come up with for the custom profiles for their Red.

Use the histogram instead of the meter... you'll have much better results.

I'm not used to a histogram and I can't see where skintones and 18% are. I just use it for clipping.

Is it the only thing that isn't metering REC709?

I like to wonder around with a light metre. Maybe you could make a pocket histogram. Then again a Scarlet doesn't cost much more than a L758-Cine.

L-758 Cine is what I have. It has three custom profiles. Using their test chart and software, you can create a profile for a specific camera.

yeah.. thats the one. Its actually a great meter because its the first digital meter that can actually protect your highlights :)
