Hi people....this for all that are afraid of the postworkflow.

I have seen something coming to us, that will change everything.
I have seen light where darkness is,
I have seen the holy grail for every indie and pro out there.

It will knock you out and make you happy.
It has to do with Ibloom.

Yes indeed.

Ian rocks.

The new RedTrip will make you VERY, VERY happy ...

and more goodies coming your way very soon from the Red Silicon Alley on the East Coast ... take a deep breath ...

WOW, What a cliff hanger!

How about a few more hints.. Is it bigger that a bread box?? Faster than a speeding bullet?? Able to leap large 4K projects in a single bound??

Dave

I won't breath untill... :) Promise!

But I've seen that the solution to most of the current workflow-hurdles lays within a fluent implementation of what ian is doing (and for some: a no-brainer way to stay in high bith-depth 4:4:4 through CC... in FCS)

The collective knowledge and will to do good on this forum amazes me.

Hopefully some solutions come quick. My number is up but I am keeping the camera on hold. I will pay and take delivery of the camera after a post solution is found until then film or HD cameras are a better option. I want the camera really bad but don't see much use in having it when post is far to heavy to make it a viable choice.

Finner,

Are you interetsed in "Trading" reservations?

If so PM me.

Finer that's a smart move actually. We have two REDs and while they are cool to have and do testing with, the workflow is VERY frustrating right now. We are still using our HD cams for any serious work right now.

What are we talking about here, software, hardware, a codex?
Will whatever it is be cheap, shareware, free?
Can you not tell us more because it is a post NAB thing?

Soon. Like I haven't heard that here before. What are my options NOW?

This post bellow was High-Jacked from the "New RED Music video
thread" posted today.

The video looks great, yes we need some post workflow solutions, but I'm turning down clients...If anyone wants to trade a reservation please PM me.

Default New RED Music Video
Hi Guys,

I recently completed post on a music video which we shot with the talented guys from sonic films here in the UK. The experience of using RED with good technicians, was really superb and having recently used a viper, 35mm & f900 on several different projects, i was blown away with the images the camera produced in 4k. 2k was a real disappointment, but i am hopeful the 3k will be a great alternative.

Anyway, there is a link to the video below. It is the one at the top of the page.

Feedback and questions welcome.

Cheers, Nick
