"“Seduced and Abandoned” HBO documentary A Film Makers journey

[Corey_O]

Alec Baldwin and James Toback travel to Cannes in search of financing for a movie titled "Last Tango in Takrit". A play on "Last Tango in Paris" starring Brando directed by Bertolucci.

It was a peak behind the curtain of movie financing. I believe the pitch was a joke but the response and candor of those interviewed was very interesting including Martin Scorsese.

Its on HBO now.

95% of the time I was looking for financing for my movies and 5% of my time I'm actually making movies!

Thats no way to live! Orson Welles

Yes, I think the pitch was supposed to be a joke. Takrit (about 100 miles from Baghdad) was not exactly meant to be an ideal setting...
