A few things to remember...

5 Axis Adjustable Sensor Plate
Enhanced Metadata
Gigagbit Network interface and 802.11 Wireless interface
3 Axis internal motion sensor, built in GPS receiver

So maybe the sensor plates can move based on a LUT and focal length. So that when shooting in stereo they automatically adjust to differences in focal distance that there might be between lenses. Hmm on second thoughts, who's going to make the LUT. Better stuck with a 3ality rig instead.

Buut wouldn't it be cool to adjust the focal plane in camera for tilt shift effects.

Or what about an anti-rolling shutter effect filter that uses focal length, distance and motion sensor meta-data.
