Let me inject some much need humor to the reduser board.
Now that Jim has declared himself dictator, "Generalissimo de El Torro," Jim will surely be hanging out with Sean Pean. Sean is a director, cameraman, and lover of dictators. Now that Saddam is dead, Sean has lots of free time on his hands to beta test a new camera. :clown2:

Eeew, look at the camera he's holding at the second pic, it must have a 1/8" sensor.

Jim needs to introduce Scarlet to him.

And what's the camera he's holding at the third pic?

He loves his craft and works hard at it like we all should do if we want to be succesful in this business. Who gives a crap about how many dictators he likes or not. He is his own man.

Some tension builds up when someone mentions politics...

Ah, someday I'll preach the wonders of being apolitical.

Exactly, who cares about somebody elses political views if that person is not a politician you are voting for. We are here to talk filmmaking.

I always thought it was too bad he wasn't around in the '30s-'40s. There were lots of dictators to hang around, back then.

Leni Riefenstahl loved and worked hard in the craft, as well. Don't think it made up for the people she associated with, though.

The man visits a country to better understand the political and social spectrum within it and you guys jump up and down claiming he likes dictators. Well, if someone visited the U.S. and met with Bush he could easily be accused of coddling dictators, but then again it's rare for people to have some self reflection when they're busy taking in whatever the media tells them to absorb.

Hey look, Obama's not wearing a lapel pin. Augh the outrage.

who in their right mind would try to separate filmmaking from politics anyway? they don't have to go together, but when they do it can be groundbreaking, eye-opening, awe-inspiring work. although, it can also be "the life of david gale" so I suppose it goes both ways.

Be sure to say "Hi" to Big Foot and those "Men in Black," when you see them.

What kind of camera is M. Night Shyamalan holding in the second picture? Wait... that's not him, I'm sorry.

Just kidding guys, a little humor to break up this week's tension. M. Night Shyamalan is a very talented filmmaker that I respect and admire.
