I recently directed a solo music video for Sean Danielsen of the band Smile Empty Soul. The song was great, and Sean wanted to do something dark, to contrast the feel of the song. We shot with my Epic Dragon in 4k, using my Sony Cine Alta primes and my Duclose 11-16 Tokina zoom. The tiny budget was an obstacle (1/3 going to the location and permit), but I was able to call on some friends for favors, and we ended up with a top notch crew and gear including steadicam (Ric Griffith) and a 17' Moviebird crane (TCC). It was a one (14 hour) day shoot at Sybil Brand Institute in Monterey Park CA, and I think we got some great stuff. The video is below - please let me know what you think.
