The X-Y MOUNT® is designed to match the physics of zoom lenses to the center of the sensor on a Red One camera.
It improves the performance while zooming on mirror or side by side rigs and reduces the amount of alignment required when primes are changed to a different focal length.
Its high-end finish and engineering includes the pairing of titanium and carbon materials. This pairing shows only a third of the expansion on temperature changes compared to aluminium.
A fine pitch thread allows to precisely shift the mount up to 1mm in horizontal and vertical position and then lock it.
